    Radiator Difference

Hey all, Really pondering trying to improve cooling system on my E30 hard to find massive performance enhancement for early model 87. Solution I' am pondering is just is there a significant difference between the 88' and 87 325i. Would I be able to use that years performance upgrades?

the cooling system is different 87 to 88 so things like radiator outlet locations, expansion tank location, number of water pump outlets, ect are different. that being said, if you replace all the cooling system stuff together you can run the late model system and have a lot more parts options like e36 and z3 radiator choices for performance. you just have to do the water pump and radiator and expansion tank and hoses and everything from a 88+.

The stock cooling system is fine - and can handle a lot of HP too. I'd look at fixing what's wrong - just my 2 cents.

Nothing is wrong with the system itself yet, but if I build up to a point where the stock system can not support it anymore I'd rather have to change things around now then later. I do not see companies doing to much besides making the cooling components out of aluminum. Minus to water pumps from turner and such.
