    HELP!? Rear window motor removal!

I have an 89 325i that I am fixing. Which I beleive means that I have the later style lifters. Anyhoo, either way, the motor quit. But I have taken ever single bolt and nut off that I can find with no luck. The bentley and everything else says to roll the window down and unbolt the attachment bracket. The window motor is kaput. So how the hell do I get it to roll down manually? Also how the eff do I get all that linkage shit outta the door. Anyone?!

I believe the window has to be UP to get the linkage out... is it the cable window thing??

Yeah, it's the same as mine was.. i had the same problem last september... I just feneggeled the linkage out when the window was up.. maybe you should try to remove the actual motor when it's still in there. That will allow you to move the cable around.. Chances are the motor siezed or rusted shut and won't work even if you put a 12v source to the motor wires directly.. It is possible, but you just have to get in there and keep moving it around to get that linkage out of the small open panel in the door...

alright, Well if you can see a way to get the window actually disconnected from the mechanism, then that leaves just 1 option.. try different permutations to get this thing out of that little panel in the door.. It is possible
