    Turn Signal Issue

    Hey all,
I found some posts on here that were close to what's going on with my E30, but nothing exactly the same so here goes. Just yesterday I noticed that while sitting at a light with my turn signal on that suddenly I didn't hear the indicator clicking anymore. I tried flipping the turn signal between both sides and also pushed the hazards light and nothing. No click, no lights on either the dash or the outside of the car. But like 5 mins later I am turning and still indicating (because habit) and suddenly they work fine again. So now my turn signal works more of the time but it keeps randomly dropping out and coming back.

So clearly I need to replace something but I'm not sure what. Any ideas or answers? Thanks in advance!

Have you tried swapping out the turn signal switch relay? Its easy and cheap.

No I haven't tried anything yet - that was where I assumed I was going to start. I wasn't sure if this was one of those issues that was incredibly common and had a well documented fix or not so I figured I'd start here! But its seeming like I'm just going to need to start replacing things and hope it goes away.

Random long after the fact update. I swapped the relay - it was indeed fast and cheap - and it immediately fixed the problem. FYI for anyone with the same issue.
