    Fuel Leak!

I just recently started getting a fuel leak on the drivers side of my car near the fuel filter so I figured oh that must be bad so I'll replace that. I replace the fuel filter and the old brittle lines as well and the leak is still very prominent. It looks to be coming out of the top of the fuel tank just above the fuel filter? Any ideas? Luckily I will be dropping the rear subframe this weekend so I plan on dropping the tank then as well. Any ideas what it could be causing the leak? Also what should I look for when I drop the tank? Thanks!!!!

Pull the back seat and the access covers and take a look. It might be right there

There is a hard line that runs along the top of the fuel tank that can rust through, it will leak gas where you are seeing it and it can also pool on top of the fuel pump. You'll see/smell it when you pull the access covers.

These tanks are prone to rust pretty badly as well. You could have a small hole in the top of the tank causing this issue.

We put a new tank in the track car a few years ago. Bought it for just under $200 on rockauto.
