M Tech 1 Steering Wheel - Horn Button Issue

I've got a M Tech 1 steering wheel with a horn button that isn't as responsive as it should be and is making a squeeky/rubbing noise. I'd like to take the button off and see if I can figure out what's going on underneath. Has anyone taken the buttons off one of these?

The wheel is generally in great shape so I really don't want to ruin it trying to fix it. I'd leave it alone but it's affecting the operation of the horn.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

I gently pried mine off with a small screwdriver. The wheel material is pliable and will bounce back to shape after the prying. Underneath there is copper contact that completes the circuit and activates the horn as well as acting as the spring behind the button. Mine still squeaks after cleaning underneath, so you'll probably have to lube it up with something.

It is really hard to break it. Just pry it off with flat screwdriver. Trust me you won't break anything. Simple design, no wires or anything.
