    Looking for that 8000+ RPM M50?



    Could be interesting. Don't know how much life the engine has left, but it's got all the hardware for a solid, high rev engine.

      Why so Stu? Race engines tend not to have an extended life so I wonder what is wrong with it? Never heard of Rebello but that doesn't mean squat.

        For one, it is unnecessary. M3 cams come in stock street cars, they arn't intended for a high redline and a short powerband. The power of that motor will drop off at about 6500 or so.

        Also, the heavy, hydraulic valvetrain of the 325 is not capable of 8000 rpm's, not to mention the crankshaft is cast steel.

        If someone can pick it up cheap, go for it.... ;)
