So i get a letter from DMV saying i need to smog my car to register it.
instead of finding the guy who sold it to me, i decied to be a niec guy and do it myself.
My results:
@15mph
HC was at 151, when max allowed is 114
and NO was at 1036, when max allowed is 785
@25mph
all is well and passed.
Mods:
All stock but the Dinan chip, which after reading around and talking to people have ogtten mixed reviews on wehther it would have affected the results or not (i forgot i had the chip in the car till after the test).
COnclusion:
haven't figured it out, the guy at the smog shop said it might be spark plugs need to be replaced because he had a 85 325i and he went to BMW, bought THEIR spark plugs, drove it around for 20 min. and it passed w/o a problem.
Luckily, he is giving me 30 days for a free re-trial (some places only offer 1/2 off for re-trial, or nothign at all).
ANyone else got any ideas? I want to get it done by next weekend, so i got a week to figure it all out.
