    Clutch gets stuck

My clutch started to get stuck when fully depressed for about half a second and then drops back on its own. It doesn't happen all the time but because it's unpredictable it can be quite scarry.
Any ideas what it can be?

that could be a bad thing sounds like the clutch is binding on the input shaft splines, you might hafta split the tranny and engine to check it out.

pretty sure that the master or slave cylinders wouldnt cause this

but check to be sure that your pedal isnt just getting stuck under the floor mat first.

my mom came to me with this problem once and after she took me for a test drive it was obvious to me as a passenger what was happening
edit:her pedal got stuck under the mat thats wat was happening lol

i'd suspect the return spring, or possibly the throw out bearing is binding on the sleeve around the input shaft.
