Hi
I recently bought a 318i (Australian delivered April '87, manufactured late '86 - factory Zender Widebody with a turbocharged M10 2871R).
First post - hence details.
I'm currently refreshing/restoring it (bones are great but years of storage and neglect etc etc).
Anyway, I've got new Bilsteins, H&R, Sway bars, brackets, brakes but stumbled across an issue
Situation..... each front sway bar bracket has one 65mm bolt that bolts into chassis and one nut/bolt. On right side (driver side for me) the 65mm bolt was missing and I've just worked out it is up the hole about 50mm and I'm guessing snapped off at the thread.
Now I can change suspension, instal new brakes, but how do I go about getting that old, likely jammed old broken bolt thread out, OR find a new way to secure the sway bar bracket.
Appreciate the group mind input and any advice.
Thanks
