My Last MOD!! Custom Turbo Air FIlter HeatShield (pics)

    Just to share with yall...

Since always I run hard the car (even when not too) the engine bay get a lot of head, more than that, the air filter sure is sucking a good amount of hot air masscoming from the bay.

These are the pics where the the shield is almost ready, now is in the procces of paint and then I will add some aluminum shield in the rear panel to reflect a bit of the heat produced by the turbo exahust housing...

The panels are presented here in the crude looking..soon wil be painted and will ook nice. Tomorrow I should finish it and will post more pics... :P

The panels are tighted and just one screw is required to tight them, also it's almost sealed the panels.

Opinions?? COments?? DOn't give shitt plz..

You should take it out and spray it with rubberized undercoating spray. It'll make it look a lot better than bare sheet-metal, and it will insulate much better than bare metal.

I didn't tune it...just as it came from facotry...the last upgrade was the 21LB/h injectors, when I was pushing arround 8-9 PSI and well the 10 PSI range too...with the only help of a FMU and IC

That doesnt look to sturdy, like it might break apart or something.
I dont know much about turbos and stuff, so what does that do for it?

Brian, it isolates the air filter from the (very hot) turbo. Cooler air = denser air = more power.
