Wondering if anyone had a moment to measure an M5x, an M20, and a Getrag for me...

So I've always wanted to build a tube framed car of my own. The "plans" for these are hanging out all over the internet.

So when my old E30 was hit and totaled I stripped it and started to make one.

I didn't like how it was turning out, so I cut it up. It was a learning experience for sure. Then life happened and I ended up selling most of what I had (M20B25 and trans went into in a shell with some other parts, etc). So here I am years later and I'm in a much better place. I never gave up on the concept and kept a lot of the small parts but, haven't had another chance to start on another physical frame. All I've had the opportunity to do is work digitally and try to perfect a new plan using the basics from the "plans."

I was wondering if someone had some time to give me some general dimensions of the M5x, M20, and any of the associated Getrags. I want to create a block drawing that will take up the general space of the motor and see if I can fit it in the frame of the wheelbase I've designed it for...

    Thanks.

It will be a while before I start another physical build unfortunately, though I might build a jig for the front and rear suspension to test out actual movement and bump steer before I continue on with a full frame.

I know an M42 will fit I want to see if I can fit an M5x/S5x or an M20 in the digital frame and possible consider a BMW donor car. My intention when I started the digital frame was to just use an SR20 or a KA24 since they're pretty damn easy to find but, I have an affinity for turbo M20s.
