I just disconnected mine for the time being. I dont like the idea of a 13 year old airbag :(

were airbags an option of some sort? because if ryan's 85 is suppose to have them, wouldn't 89' have them as well?

              :finger:

It would have been nice to have one, but I still don't want one in the next E30.

yup. I'd rather break my nose than have sodium azide burns scarring my face and potentially blinding me, or have the airbay deploy at the wrong angle and tear off a thumb.

Yes, both of those cases have been well-documented in first-generation airbags.
yeah, one of my friends was in the hosiptal several days due to the sodium azide getting in his eyes from an e30 airbag....I plan on getting rid of mine as soon as I get some money for a momo or sparco wheel

Thats all I need for convincing. M-Tech II. I hate that airbag wheel. And yes I wear my seatbelt, I just wanted to see if it was worth for saving my ass. Now to get a deal on a M-Tech II wheel and I'll be happy. And I think airbag wheels sell for a bit more than expected....
