    Engine will not crank

    Hey guys!

So I'm having an issue with my 1988 325IC. Recently I had came off of leave for nearly 3 weeks and when I came back to start my e30 up, nothing happened.
To clarify, I bought a new battery already, so that is ruled out. It's been a frustrating few weeks until literally last night I was about to get the car to start. The only way I was about to get the car to crank and turn over was to go into the Diagnostics Port and jump pin 11 with pin 14. Other than that, still zero response when I turn my key. Any ideas?
    Thanks for looking!

I don't know a lot so I might be wrong lol So if it won't crank and you can jump it, you should check to see the switches and relays in the ignition system to see if they're engaging. Those are my thoughts, might give you some info.

Well that's still better than what I had in mind lol. How would I go about checking that?
