Passenger door wont unlock, in any way!!!!!!

My passenger door will not unlock. I've tried unlocking the drivers door, unlocking the passenger with the key but i cant turn it, and yanking up on the lock inside but i cant move it up. Am i screwed?

Sounds like the actuator is locked (obviously) im sure someone on here has one up for sale. MY drivers side did that. I finally got it to unlock but never tried to relock it until i got a new actuator.

It's jammed in the double-lock position due to a bad actuator.

Usually this requires you to remove teh door panel with the door closed. Not fun with the seat in there.

Why does the door need to closed? So the latch is in the closed position maybe? If so, you can just take a screw driver and close the latch with the door open.

          Quick fix, r3v style.

            Is that Justin??

            Ha!

My wife used to have a Geo Storm that had a penchant for freezing locks in the winter.

When that happened we would (i kid you not) get in via the hatchback. Now if that wasn't a r3v style thing to do, I dunno what is.

Really? My car's been like that since the day I bought it... I can't unlock it with the key, but it will unlock when I unlock the driver's side...

If he cant unlock it in any way, how can he open it? If the door is open then it's no problem.

So what are you supposed to be messing with once the door panel is off? This happened to me (passenger lock stuck) but I couldn't figure out how the hell to manually get the door to unlock. I think my driver's side actuator failed in double lock position, and the cylinder got screwed up so it won't unlock anything.

Is there any way to fool the electrical system into thinking I have unlocked the driver's door by closing a circuit somewhere? I feel like half a fag having to come around and unlock the door for my friends to let them out...

Wow I never thought I'd fix it but I finally did. I pulled the central locking brain out and opened it up. It turns out one of the soldering points had very visibly busted off. I resoldered it and it all works great now. Unfortunately I think I seriously jacked up my driver's side lock cylinder during this whole dilemma, which is a bit of a bummer... Oh well, at least central locking works again.

At least the door handles don't break off... Changing that on a 2g eclipse is a pain. Getting in from the passenger side or crawling through the hatch :)
