    Engine oil light

the Engine oil light in my 325ic comes on at least once a month, and i have to add oil and it will go away. My car doesnt blow blue smoke or smell like its burning oil. Is this a common problem with the m20?

In about 2 weeks im going to get my valves adjusted and change my oil. Maybe this will help. what oil should i use? It has 89,6XX miles on it.

Yes, leaks are common on M20s getting on to 100k miles.

If you have to put in a quart a month, you NEED to switch to 20w 50, I promise you it will help out a lot. I run 20w 50 in my 175k ETA and it loves me for it :) . Valvoline baby.
