what kind of gains can I expect w/ cam swap

Ok, got an awesome deal on a cam from a low mileage Alpina C2/2.7 Was thinking about swapping it into my Euro 323i? Will any other mods be necessary?

I would not expect Alpina C2/2.7 performance, the components in the head of your engine does not "breath" as freely as the Alpina head.

Didn't expect much, but thought there would at least small gains. :(

With a completly stock head, gains will be minimal.
