    magnecor wires for the e30's?

they seem to be cheaper than oem replacements. any reason not to go with them. i ran them on a v8 mopar for a long time with good results. i saw them on apexperformance.

I have the magnecor wires (9.5mm I think) ...I would call them a solid upgrade...

I just installed a set of the 8mm (blue) wires last night, they seem quite nice.

It's called the impulse wire.. it fires the cylinders in batches of 3's... some e30's have it, some don't... i dont remember exactly which ones do... but if your car does need one, then when you order it, it should come with it.. pretty simple

I cars and super-etas have it.

Fires cylenders in batches of 3? The computer fires the fuel injectors in batches of 3s, but the spark is never in batches.

That impulse generator is just a reference sensor for the computer. If your car has one you do need it.

i wonder if with the magnecors they get converted to a standard spark plug connector instead of having to pull the threaded cap off the end of the spark plugs and run that little skinny threaded rod into the wire connector.

I just got a set.. and I am thinking on returning them for OE's.. mainly due to the fact there is no impulse wire.. & it does not look clean in my engine bay. Are there any photos of clean engine bays with these.. the wires are all over the place and not like the OEM with the fuel rail. I kinda don't wanna pay there 25% restocking fee too haha. I might ask them tomorrow when they open again for a impulse wire adapter of some sort. if they don't ill probably get the OEM or IE one.. so again.. any engine bays that are clean looking with these?

the only down side to getting them is no impulse sensor (not a huge deal)

they dont improve performance so dont expect it.

i would say just get stock, but as you said theyre cheaper than stock, and they are decent wires.
