    Gas Gauge

I'm in the midst of replacing my steering rack and pinion, and while I was waiting for the new part, I thought that I may as well fix the intermittent gas gauge also while it's sitting there. I popped out the cluster in record speed and saw that the nut was loose. I tightened it with my fingers and threw some threadlock on it. I screwed up. The nut on the temperature gauge was twice as tight. I got my wrench and attempted to tighten it. The nut moved. And so did the screw. Now I can neither tighten it or loosen it, and my gas gauge is still intermittent. I'm a dumbass. Any suggestions on what I can do? If anyone is wondering, I used Permatex green.

Check your fuel level sender? Mine will occasionally stick when I fill the tank if it has been low. You can access it without removing the fuel pump.
