    Looking for some help!

So I am currently looking to purchase a 3-Series and there are a few in my area and some I have found on Craigslist that are worth checking out, the only question I have is about a 1999 323i with a 3.0L M54B30 swap in it. I am not familiar with BMW motors at all yet, I was wondering if this motor was worth building or if I should look somewhere else. Whatever I get i am going to dump some money into it, just want to know if it would be worth the time and money to get the power out of it.

If you would like to see the 323i in question, here it is:

    Thanks fellas.

For one, this is primarily an E30 forum, not an E46 forum. Two, a swapped car with OBD2 raises some questions, mainly in the realm of passing inspections if required. Three, buy the car you want, with the mods/power you want instead of something to dump money in to, unless you are a rich idiot. Four "FIRST THING FIRST THIS BMW WAS NEW IN 1999 !!!" seriously, this ad is stupid, and looks like an attempt to scam someone.

Are you the poster of this ad, is this some sort of scammy way to promote your own car? Anyway, I reported the ad because it looks like a dealer selling in the by owner section.

nope, not the poster just looking for something worth my time, I kinda dropped this one and am currently looking at an E30 325i that my buddy's uncle has for sale, bone stock though. I honestly don't know enough about BMW's that why i have posted everywhere, I figured this was an E30 fourm after I posted but I figured you guys would know something about other models.

People do, but you're posting in the wrong section... there is an off-topic sub forum.

And personally, that ad looks a little dodgy to me. Just my 0.05.
