    Temp gauge not responding

I know this has probably been around alot, but i cannot seem to figure it out. My temp gauge doesnt work what so ever. I have changed out the gauge it self, the sensor, and i even tried a whole different cluster! nothing seems to be working. Im desperate to just buy an aftermarket gauge, but i wanna keep things looking as stock and i know the oem gauge is most accurate for this car.

Ground the connectors out one at a time. Check the gauge. If the gauge spikes to 100% hot it's the sensor. If the gauge doesn't spike there is a wiring problem.

Actually i have tried that before and i was not getting any response. so that tells me its the wiring. Great... What do you think would be the best way to hard wire the gauge or install an aftermarket?

If you get 12v at the plug then I would cut the plug out and thread in the sender right there if it fits. That would only be if the ground is the iffy part of the wiring. Check your c191 connector under the intake for corrosion. That thing is a bitch. It controls the power to the fuel rail and the coolant sensors, you could be unlucky and just have a couple pins corroded and it's not giving you continuity to the gauge

          Still nothing

So i hard wired the sensor straight to the gauge to see if anything would happen. nothing... im now at a complete loss
