    shift arm to stop buffer assembly question (w/pics)

    my first run was on a 91 and that aluminum shift arm is easy to work with.
    i dont understand this early model shit. please explain the assembly process. it seems like i dont have the right parts because this shows otherwise:

      omg, lol, are you serious? that will fall appart.

      its like the stop buffer isnt big enough to fill the gap or the metal bits are not shaped properly. also, there are three holes while only two ends to the stop buffer. it would work better is number 5 was actually LIKE number 5 in the picture.

      can i please have another opinion? (no offense)

        dude, i couldn't figure it out either. My tranny has provisions for both, so I'm just converting.

          You don't use the big black piece. Just pop the rubber mount into the gold piece, then pop the top into the sheet metal consule.
