    hard start when warm...325i...Help

Hi All, i have had some hard starting issues near the end of last year before i store the car. the car would crank and start normal in the morning or even right after winter. but when i drove it for a bit, leave it say 20 mins for grocery. it would crank a long time and starts on a 2nd try. funny thing is but it would start right after immediately if i turn the car off. i have tried and replaced fuel pump relay, Coolant temperature sensor and even did spark plugs yesterday. still hard starting after driving. i began to suspect fuel issues.

    1. car smells like fuel/exhaust right after starts.
    2. "black liquid" smells kinda like fuel? spits out from my exhaust
    3. when i blip on the gas pedal to around 1200 rpm, the engine would sputter down to below 500 rpm and hesitant (about to stall but didn't).

other than these, the car runs strong. i had my frd looked at my spark plugs he thinks it's running on the lean side.
any help on this is much appreciated

Vacuum leaks or leaky injectors. Check the elbows going into the throttle body and the breather hose. The breather hose can be the culprit because it runs under the manifold and, after 20+ yrs, the hose can crack badly.
