I've been having a problem lately with my car running rich. The thing runs excessively rich, like you can put your hand in front of the exhaust and it gets moist. Occasionally the car will have a messed up idle and not hold a proper idle, instead just dipping down until it stalls. Another problem that seems to happen is that when the car idles like this, it will sometimes start up and have a misfire. This can be corrected by disconnecting the battery and letting it sit for about 20 minutes. Plug the battery back in and the car runs fine again, albeit still rich. Anyone have any idea what could cause this? It has been driving me crazy for the past few months and any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would check the AFM first. Follow the link below to test it PROPERLY.
If the AFM checks out ok, then I would inspect the CTS, FPR and CPS.
It's always beneficial to do the ECU Pinout tests:
I would also check fuel pressure/rate and pull the injectors to see if they are leaking. You can jump the fuel relay to get the pump working - Pins #30 and #87.
O2 sensor - if it's old, replace it...

A systematic approach to diagnosing and fixing this can be found in http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/show...5&postcount=12The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
