    Two questions please

    I just bought the oem Mtech1 steering wheel for my 1990 325is (airbag car)how do I get the horn to operate? whats the hack?

    my reverse lights do not go on while car is in reverse, checked fuse.


    Please help me car won't pass inspection unless i fix both

    The horn ring on the wheel probably isnt in contact as needed, possibly because of the way you have it spaced.

    For the reverse lights you should inspect the switch/connector for same as it can fall off/apart.

      please elaborate about the horn ring, provide pics if possible

        It's a contact strip on the back of the steering wheel that transmits the horn signal down the column. It's part of a plastic "tower" that screws to the back of the wheel.

        The better question is, how did you install spacers during the swap?

            I've had a mtech 1 wheel in my airbag iX. Horn worked..
            Spacer -> Wheel -> spacer -> washer -> locknut
            I'm pretty sure it's impossible to install it without at least one spacer because of the amount of thread you have to tighten everything down, you proabably already have one before the wheel from the airbag wheel.
