How Long to Trickle Charge a Battery?

I left a battery on 2v trickle charge last night and meant to take it off the charger before I went to work and here I sit remembering that I did not.

Is my battery going to explode?

I think you mean a 2Amp charger. How dead was the battery? Should be alright, but you might have some acid bubbling out of the vents when you get home. Just disconnect it as soon as possible.
