Was driving my 325i for most of the day today at highway speeds. Started her up and noticed it wouldn't go into gear. the engine quickly started overheating so I pulled over shut her off let her cool down and started her up again no problem. Any idea on what that would've been?

It did go into gear though?, it's manual Trans? Low on coolant, any sounds smells etc

Your car is telling you it needs some maintenance. Over heating and not going into gear aren't really related by anything I can think of (other then motor mounts broke, and some how popped a hose and then fixed it's self.

Smelt a little on burning. Warning system said low of coolant but shut off after the car cool downed. Noticed one of the blades in the engine fan broke off. Drove her all day today with no problemsIf you're not first you're last :nice:
