    stock rods & custom pistons

I am building a high comp m30b35. Probably going to go up to 12.5:1 comp ratio.

My first question is how strong are stock rods? I would like to use the stock rods with the custom pistons if I can. And if 12.5:1 is to much for them what can they handle?

Next question is does anyone have any experience with custom piston manufacters? I have been looking at the following for getting my pistons done, does anyone have experience with these companies or any other suggestions.

    Top End Performance www.racetep.com/jeimport.html#bmw
    Import Performance Parts www.importperformanceparts.net

    Thanks for any help/advice

if you ultimately decide to go w/custom rods, maybe carrillo rods?
wiseco can make pistons to pretty much any spec you want.
