Weird Rattle LOL

So I have a 87 325IS.
And it's runs perfectly, however at idle sometimes theirs a rattle coming from either the engine or the tranny can't distinguish. I don't believe it's the "getrag rattle". Car runs excellent just wondering what the sound is. Anyone have that same noise on their m20 e30?

Take a video of the noise. No one can diagnose "noise problem" over the internet. At best, it's a guessing game.

Does it go away if you push the clutch in? If so, it's getrag rattle.

Yup confirmed getrag rattle lol. Pushed clutch in and went right away could have sworn I hear it with the clutch in. Must be getting old
