Ok so lets get straight to the point.
I bought an e30 323i 1983 not running, and took it home on a trailer. This is what i have done so far to try to make it run.
-Replace timing belt (yes its on correctly i checked at least 50 times not kidding)
-replaced fuel pump relay
-replaced water pump
-checked spark (yes)
-checked if wires are on the correct input on distributor (yes)
-checked compression (164,170,158,180,174,168)
-changed spark plugs
-checked another 50 times if the timing belt is on correct
-checked if the fuel injectors are firing (yes)
-checked under the engine cover to see if the rockers, cams, valves or springs are broken, which they are NOT
So far to my understanding i have
1.spark in the correct timing ignition sequence
2.Compression
3.Air (Have not done a smoke test but everything looks sealed)
4.Injection
The thing about injection and fuel delivery is I think possibly the fuel pressure is not quite up to par considering i only tested 2 injectors on the rail and called that it was okay.. that was stupid on my part... but im sick of taking off the fuel rail at least 6 times now testing it:rofl:
I figured ill determine if it really is the fuel delivery thats screwed. so i took off the intake boot and cranked the engine and sprayed in some starter fluid, figuring that if it starts it must be the injectors not doing their job. But it still did not start...
I know i have good spark and compression, air, and timing... what gives!!
Ecu is also good because the injectors were spraying at some point.
