How to remove trunk air vents?

So this might seem like a weird question to ask but how do I remove the air vents in the trunk? I'm talking about the ones behind the plastic trim, there's one on each side. I believe they're for releasing air when closing the trunk or something of that nature. Anyways... as I was putting my antenna assembly back, my 10mm socket fell and landed right in front of the flaps for the vents then proceeded to fall into the vent itself. So how do I pry this thing open?

If you don't see the socket by lifting up the flap, you'll need to remove the bumper as those inserts install outside in. There are little locking tabs holding them in. Squeeze and they should push right out.

    Good luck.

I could feel the socket but can't see it well. If I bang on the side of the trunk, it rolls up for a split second but rolls back down. But thanks for the advice, hopefully this doesn't become a headache for me.

When I was fiddling with it, it kind of got wedged in there so a magnet can't get it :(.
