I have 325i which is annoying to drive cause for some reason i can hear the engine ticking about from my drivers footwell and i cant seem to find what piece is missing or damaged. It gets louder as my rpm climbs so im definetly sure its the engine valves ticking. Also its not me cause i have a 325e that is silent under the drivers footwell. Anyhow its a manual converted car as well if that helps and has no rust or holes what so ever. Firstly theres a rubber grommet on firewall that wasnt properly put in for the cut out for the clutch slave so i popped that in hopes that will fix it but no avail. Is there any piece ment to be there to be sound insulation other than the grommet?
