Sunroof plastic arms / guides HELP!!

Hello, first post but I have been reading over the site for a few months now. I just had my 88 325is painted, then dropped at a local upholstery shop for a new headliner.

Today I bolted the sunroof back in the car and something seemed wrong when I went to move and adjust it. I immediatly removed the 6 tore screws that hold the panel in and once I removed I noticed that the guides that hold the plastic arms in the metal channel were not in place.

I am guessing my upholstry guy took it apart to do the new headliner and didn't put it back together right.

Having a rough time trying to figure out how they go back in track...

Help! I will snap some pics and post shortly.

Spent some more time out there and took all the small screws out of the metal so I could slip the guide back in. Seems to be correct now, except I can't get the 6 tore screws back in the sunroof. All the holes are not lining up, its like i can't push the sunroof far enough forward...Wonder if its because of the thickness of the new sunroof seal I just installed??

If I'm not mistaken they just pop in there. If they're not staying in then something else is wrong. Make sure everything else is screwed/bolted in properly. Also make sure the cables are lined up properly, if they messed with it slightly it will not open or close properly.

Thanks! I kept searching for pics and diagrams and finally got it. They just left the guides out that slide. I cleaned everything up and lubricated with a little white lithium grease. Sunroof is in and working! It does still need a little adjustment, but I will work on this this weekend.
