Airbag sensor delete

So I'll put this in the category of both "stupid question" and "better to ask"...

I swapped in an MTech 2 wheel a while ago. Is there any reason I cannot go through and pull out the orange sensors in the engine bay? Just making sure I am not creating a fault or short or something.

I suspect that you could delete the sensors and control box/wiring under the dash without any real issues. The real question is why, as you'll be left with brackets that hold noting and will look just as out of place.

Interesting point. I was thinking the orange was such an eyesore, but hadn't considered what was under. Thanks. Will have to consider more.
