    E30 Dash Comaptibility

Stupid question before I drive several hours to pick up a crack-free dash: any reason that a dash from a 88 325e sedan wouldn't fit into a 90 325is coupe with an airbag steering column?

RealOEM seems to show the same part number (51451941532) for both cars, but wanted to run it past you guys to see if there's any gotchas.

    Thanks!

I put a dash from an older car into my '91 318is, and only had to make a few little changes. I had to remove a triangular mounting plate from the orig dash (driver's side) and pop rivet it onto the donor dash. Also, you may have some fitment issues with the knee pad - below the steering wheel. Mine does not fit perfectly onto the older donor dash. But you really cannot tell unless you're looking closely.

have fun, take your time, take pics, label shit, be patient

Stupid question #2: Are they all the same shade of black?
