Right/Left, how to tell which is Pass/Driver?

This is a total n00b question, but I really forgot how to tell.

Is the passenger side of the car the LEFT or the RIGHT?

My old boss told me where the point of view was supposed to be, but I'm so confused. I want to order a brake duct tube but I'm not sure which is right/left lol. I know I need the passenger side...

The point of view is from the back of the car looking toward the front - the driver's side if the left, the passenger's side is the right. This is how we do it at the tire shop...

Remember we drive left hand cars so anything not on the steering wheel side is right.

the front bumper has spot for licence plate.

Point of view is typically seated in the driver's seat (same as from the back of the car looking forward, but maybe makes a bit more sense??)....

no need to get confused by driver/passenger side with this method, it's either right or left. <period
