How do I remove the interior rear side panels on a 2 door? The Bentley doesn't say anything about it.

Take out the back seat and teh door seal then pop the clips around the edges.Adam Fogg- '88 M3

The edge by the door jam has clips that just pop out. Use a panel puller or flat blade screw driver to help in not braking the old plastic.
The entire top is in with metal tabs that require pulling straight up and out.
Having the rear seat out is a must.sigpicComment

Not for the panel. There are 2 12mm or 13mm bolts that hold the rear seat back in. Which is another reason why the seat should be pulled. I have done it without the seatback pulled but not the bottom, and it was sort of a PITA.sigpicComment

I found the two 10mm sheet metal screws on the "legs" in the corners, but no 12 or 13 mm bolts. There are 17mm bolts holding the seat belts. It feels like there's something else holding the seatback in, because it doesn't budge no matter how hard I yank on it.Comment

It has hooks along the top. You have to lift it upwards then out.Adam Fogg- '88 M3
