    HELP!! Fog Light trouble

    HELP!! Fog light trouble
Little bit of a story goes with this one. I have owned my 88 325e for a year now. The entire time I have owned it until recently the ellipsoid fog lights have not worked.

After some tips from the guys on another forum I cleaned my contacts and voila one of them worked (driver side). The passenger side still did not. I have changed bulbs and still nothing.

So I started to go with wiring. I took my multimeter to figure out what was going on. Go figure the passenger side is not getting any voltage. I started to trace back. no voltage at the fuse or at the relay.

All the wires are intact and are where they are supposed to be. I do not have a short on the line and the relay, fuse and fog light switch are working.

Does anyone here have an idea as to why my for light is not getting voltage???

HELP HELP it is getting closer to fall and to foggy season.

Make sure you have a good ground when checking for V. If I remember correctly, there a fuse for each fog light... Check wich ever's bad(fuse) for continuity. If you're good, then check for power at the fuse. If no power.. get an ETM and trace where the fuse gets its power from.
Oh, and remember that when checking for power you have lights on and foglight switch on.

    Hope this helps.

What is a ETM? I have traced all the wires and unfortunately no power at the fuse, I do get power for the drivers side light. I am starting to think that I need to re wire the switch starting from the headlight switch. Do you know of a good way to do that? I appreciate the assistance as this problems is really starting to bite my rear.

      All help is appreciated greatly
