    Fuel Delivery Problem

My 89 325i was starting fine until today. I went to start it up and it wouldn't turn over and start.

I unhooked the return fuel line from the FPR and stuck a little bucket under the FPR nozzle, tried starting the car, pumped the throttle and no fuel came out of it.

I then went to the pump on the tank, unhooked the feed line that connects directly to the pump. I put a rag under the metal pump feed line, started the car and pumped the throttle. Fuel did not come out of the pump. Does this mean my fuel pump is bad? Are there any other ways to test fuel delivery?

Check your fuel pump fuze and or your relay.

Build your own dreams, or someone else will hire you to build theirs!

Fuse is fine and I switched the relay that's right next to the Fuel relay. Still doesn't work. I think I have a bad pump.

Sounds like you need to bite the bullet and buy a new pump.

Just be glad you have a late model. Early models have 2.
