M3 guys I need some help

I'm going to look at a M3 for sale later this week. I have not seen it yet and know almost nothing about it. I have never owned a M3 either. So I was wonding if there is anything M3 specific I should check out.
I know normal car stuff, but like are they prone to rust in a specific area, etc.
I do know hes asking $9500 and it has 70,xxx miles on it. Is that a good price no matter what as long as its running?

as far as rust, I do know they are prone to rust near the windsheild wipers, As well as the rear tag area.
Sounds like a decent deal for a M3 with 70K on the clock.
That is if its actual mileage. Ive heard S14s are a bitch to rebuild and can get pricy

I have also heard of the 15k rule. Rule as far as I recall it is, "You will spend $15k on an e30 m3. Either by paying that much for it up front, or paying less for purchase and fixing more after you own it to sort out its follies." I would like to get one, just havent looked that hard. Id rather pay less than that as I waould be swapping a newer model engine into it.

That is VERY cheap for the mileage. Be careful.

Be very cautious - that is super cheap for that mileage - you might have steal on your hands, or a money pit.

            Good luck!

I would say unless there is something really wrong with the body buy it anyway. then you can fix it up the way you want and get many a year out of a car that will be remembered throughout history.

I would buy it even if I had to re and re the engine.
