    what rods?

In the event that I can find the e28 pistons (SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME) do I use the stock eta rods, or should I get different rods? also, is it really that significant to get a 524td crank?

Stock eta rods will work fine with the pistons, My search for these pistons still is going on. I've only been waiting since September 12th for mine to show up in the mail. Right now the Third set is in the mail(first set were 323i pistons by accident, next set entered the U.S. the 30th of december and disapeared, and the Third set was sent by UPS and Supposedly cleared customs last week). I'll let you know for sure if and when they arrive.

        what are you building??

I'm going to use stock e36M3 rods for my 2.8 if that's what you're building...

and the td crank is #%^@$ heavy... getting mine lightened a bit and knifed...

from what ive heard the bottom ends are about the stoutest part on an m20, so you should have no worries running the stock parts.
