    153 and 027 ECU's interchangable?

I have an 87is with a 153 ECU. I also have a 027 ECU from an eta that I borrowed from a friend. Can I use the 027 in my 325is? Keep in mind that this wont be a permant fix, i just want to see if my 153 is causing my bad idle so Ill only swap them out for a few minutes than Ill proceed to get another 153. Thanks

the 027 uses a completely different plug so it won't work. Besides that. the Idle control valve on your car is controlled by the ecu. On an eta you have a separate control module for the icv which is tied into the harness. Their are more differences also like the crank reference sensors on the eta are on the bell housing of the tranny. So the answer is no they aren't interchangeable. :) I have a good 153 ecu that has been refurbished if you need one just pm me.
