    If I'm going to buy a 1989-90´s 316, What should I pay attention to?

    That's it. I'm planning to get a 316 from the 89-90. So the question is, and I hope some of you guys could help me, which are the details or things I should look out for?
    I would really apreciatte some tips to test my "new" car, and make sure I taking the best choice.

      look for rust mainly. specifically arounnd the rear light clusters, remove all the carpet from inside the boot (trunk) and have a good look around. the rear of the car.

      then check the scuttle panel (inbetween engine and passenger compartment) for rust and the rear and front wheel arches. if tbhere is a sunroof have a good look inside the recess where the sunroof parks when it is open.

      other then that make sure engine and box are good. those engines are not quick but they are bullet proof. remove the oil filler cap and look for any white residue in the oil (sign of head gasket going) and ensure they are running anti-freeze/coolant as opposed to just water, and if its brown water best bet is to leave the cars, as they rust from the water channels causing overheating probs.

      other then that enjoy it!!
