I have a set of euro non smilies and the light reflector, the shiny polished surface behind the ellipsoidal focusing lens has become foggy, and I vainly try to clean/polish them out. Instead, the reflector gets scratched...is there anyway i can fix this?

that reflector is only cosmetic, it does not affect the beam of light in any way. so if you want a chrome look spray em with a chrome paint, or why not smoke em by painting em black. there are threads on here that explain how to open the glass lens part (with a heat gun or a hot oven) if you have not figured out how to do that.Comment

Umm... hes talking about the reflective globe, behind the projector. And that DOES effect light output... It makes them pretty much useless. Thats not how you smoke them either.
and DON'T USE CHROME POLISH !!!!!!!!
IT WILL REMOVE THE FAKE CHROME!!
Then your light output will be SHIT. Like mine.
Use soap and water. 8-)

this is bad info. you are wrong.that reflector is only cosmetic, it does not affect the beam of light in any way. so if you want a chrome look spray em with a chrome paint, or why not smoke em by painting em black. there are threads on here that explain how to open the glass lens part (with a heat gun or a hot oven) if you have not figured out how to do that.
i wouldnt even wipe hard on those replectors, the chrome has been known to just wipe rite off. i suggest buying new ones, or having them re-chromed as mentioned above.IG: @Baye30
