325e first start in 2 years, high idle

So I finally got my 1986 325e running again. It had a wiring break that was stopping the fuel pump from receiving any voltage. I finally found and resolved this issue and started the car. Unfortunately I still cant drive the car due to a high idle (1800-2200RPM). I am thinking it is either a vac leak or a dirty icv. Any other ideas or good ways to fix this next problem??

Smoke test should be number 1 on your list.

If that car has been sitting for 2 years you need to change your timing belt before you hit a much bigger problem.

Agree with the smoke test. They sell ~100 dollar units on Ebay.
