Finally gonna do the 325i exhaust upgrade on my ETA

finally ditchin the single ETA exhaust for a full e30 325i system.

i bought a complete e30 325i used exhaust - headers to exhaust tips - for 300 bones... some from Todd (TDC) and some from Jared (Chapel). just need a few gaskets, nuts & bolts & i'll be on my way.

i'm not really expecting much of a power increase, but it's sure as hell better than the exhaust i have on there now, which includes two hose clamps & a freakin soup can... i shit you not

i'll take pics of the whole thing, including the soup can & the reason why it currently needs to be there 8)

    here's Fred Kim's write-up of what i'll be doin

QUESTION: are the 325i headers exactly the same as the ETA headers???

Awesome, the 325i exhaust sounds so good. You will like it.

I like the sound. I also like not having the anemic single pipe.
      Im now E30less.

the "i" manifolds flow a little better than the eta manifolds. Keep us updated, I'll be doing this swap in the next month or two as well. I'm interested how hard it is to get the manifolds off the block...

It all depends on the rust present. Its easy for the nut to get stuck to the threaded spindle and screw out the block. That's an easy fix though. Just try not to strip the rusted nut

Ya the 325is manifolds flow a little better but it's only the newer year ones from an 88 up I believe.
