early e30 shift linkage -- any idea where to get this part in red?

This part is NLA from BMW -- and I'm unsure if I need it. Is there a replacement part that can be used instead?

Or does anybody have a spare one lying around?

I have never seen one not usable when I changed the rubber parts in there so yours should be good
