Clicking and Metal shavings in intake mani??

So today i was lookin at a potential early iS that i been eyeing for sometime.The guy is a fellow e30/e21 guy.It idles rough when warm and sounds like the injectors are clickin loud or could use vavle adjusting. The guy said it started to sound like that after he swapped in the 19lbs injectors.Which is true,because I was lookin at the car before he swapped the injectors and it sound normal. Guess it could be bad injectors?

Anyways, when i looked at inside the intake mani there where the vaccum goes to the fpr there was little scrapes of metal. I took a pic and will post up when i get home.

But any ideas of what cause this?

hhhmmm doesnt sound too good if there are metal shavings in the intake manifold.....

i say the m20 could eat metal shavings for breakfast everyday












j/k. i would be concerned but the purchase would rely heavily on condition of body, frame, interior, and mechanical up keep. it could become a nice m50 home.
