Problem after m42 swap from e36. Help guys! :(
Hello guys, i just swapped in an m42 from 1994 e36 in my m40 e30.. After i installed the engine, i made the wiring for the c101 plug and plugged it in. I went in the car and turned the key to position 2 without cranking(no oil, waiting for it still) and all the neccesary lights for oil and etc lighted up. This made me think that there is signal to the ecu so i got out and moved the plug to the side because it was on top of the engine... And from then when i turn it to position 2, only the brake pads light is on and the oil service one... I tried disconecting the ecu and trying again, same think.. I am soo confused right now, what could i do guys? PLEASE, i am begging for help right now...
