    Vdo?

Hey guys. I’ve just gotten my first e30. It’s an 87 325e late model. You guessed, the cluster doesn’t work. I’m looking to get gears for it but I either find them normal mph set or a set that is vdo. I have no idea what this means. Any help? Thank you

Your cluster is either a VDO or Motometer. It says what it is in the center above the check light. Also a 87 is a early model. Late models was in 88.

Alright. Thank you. I was told by a guy that does repairs that my odo is a late model. Maybe someone swapped them or something?

Again, as Jason wrote, look at the cluster, read the manufacturer off of the face, order the correct gears.
