    Which trannys can bolt to a S38?

    More specific, can a S50 - S54's bolt up?

      No.

      S38 uses the old style bell like an M30.

          I was under the impression that a getrag 260 could bolt up...and obviously the getrag 280...

              So anything thats bolts to an M30 will work? I found another M5 with a bad 1st gear synchro for cheap. Dont know if its worth fixing or replacing.

                  If they the 260 is from a m30, then it will bolt up. 260s from e30s will not bolt right up.

                  The 265 from e28 (obviously) and e30 m3s will bolt up.
